Energy is vital to industry, transport, infrastructure, information technology, agriculture, household uses, and more Pakistan is facing severe energy shortages since 2006. The main reasons include inadequate capacity addition, limited exploration and ineffective exploitation of hydro, coal and renewable potential and inefficient use of energy resources. Since being very important sector, which covers almost every other sector HDLC having an immense experience and have gained a lot of confidence of the Government level as well as private sector securing the rights of the valuable clients listed below:

• Filed several successful petitions to challenge the constitutional validity of Gas Infrastructure Development Cess on behalf of various companies.
• Represented Progas Pakistan Limited in constitutional petition, wherein the Petitioner has challenged the validity of the Competition Ordinance 2007, Competition Ordinance 2009, and Competition Ordinance 2010, and Competition Act 2010. The Firm has argued in favour of retrospective operations/ Validation Clause of the said Ordinances and Act.
• Represented Galaxy Textile Mills Limited (GTML) in an appeal filed by Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) before honourable Lahore High Court. The subject matter of the appeal is the recovery of more than 100 million rupees by GTML from FESCO.
• Represented Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) in number of constitutional petitions, wherein, the Petitioners have challenged the clarification issued by OGRA regarding tariff on captive power plants.
• Represented the OGRA in constitutional petitions as well as OGRA Petitions filed by SNGPL before Honorable Lahore High Court Lahore, regarding the determination of total revenue requirement of SNGPL, by OGRA, for financial year 2012 -2013, 2014-2015 and 2016-2017.
• Represented OGRA in various constitutional petitions against the validity of Gas Theft Ordinance 2014.
• Represented OGRA in number of constitutional petitions against the allocation of LPG on the basis of non-refundable “Signature Bonus”.
• Defending various Petroleum marketing companies in numerous matters pertaining to civil litigation as well as criminal.
